A little update on Baby Shares: I am 21 weeks today and had my first appointment at the Italian hospital this morning. The nurses and my doctor were wonderful and Michael was able to come with me for this appointment since it was the first and it was the anatomy scan. Unless there are changes to the hospital’s policies, he won’t be able to come to any other appointments until the birth. This was my first ultrasound since 10 weeks, and the first time Michael was able to be there! It was so fun to see how much Baby has grown and we even got to see facial images in 3-D. We are choosing not to find out the gender, although Michael was trying to play ultrasound-tech during the scan to figure it out for himself.

We met with our realtor yesterday and again today to look for an apartment! It was so nice to get outside and start walking the area where we want to live. We saw three together on Monday and I saw four more this afternoon (Michael had to work). We have a couple of good options and will probably make a decision on which one we want tonight.

The Veneto region is “yellow” again as of this week, meaning restaurants are open for dine-in lunch and takeaway dinner and we are allowed to travel throughout our region. We are planning to take the train to Venice this weekend! My car also arrived this week, once it gets through customs we should be able to pick it up at the end of the week. The weather has been wonderful – a bit chilly, but sunny – and we have enjoyed walking everywhere!
